Life Groups
We know it's hard to make friends. We also believe circles are better than rows in a church. Life group is an environment for you to give and receive love, know and be known, and grow deeper in faith through deeper relationships.
Some groups are open to all adults, some groups are focused on young adults, and some groups focus on a specific gender. Choose what works for you in this season of life. There's a place for everyone.
The new season of life group will take place from September to December. During these months, the whole church will study the same topics and go on missions together.

FAQ
A regular group meeting is between 1.5 ~ 2 hours. It generally has four components.
Welcome - A time to warm up and catch up on the week
Worship - A time to direct our heart and mind to God
Word - A time to study scripture and learn from one another
Work - A time to pray for needs and hold each other accountable
Each group has a maximum of 12 people. The ideal mix is 8 regular members and 4 newcomers. Once the number is reached, the group will be closed for the season.
In general, you can choose a group based on the time and location. Sign up for whichever is most convenient to you.
However, please keep the following in mind.
If you are under 18, you can join either the 180 or Youth Fellowship.
If you are between 19~29 years old, you can pick between a young adult group or an all age group.
No, you can only join one group per season.
Exceptions will be made to youth counselors and young adults group leaders. These individuals are encouraged to join another group in addition to leading their Friday night group.
Once you join a group, we ask you to commit for the season. Sometimes it takes time for the group to grow comfortable with one another. Let us honor scripture's command to love each another as a witness to non-believers (Matthew 5:16).
If circumstances in your life change, for instance you moved to another part of town or your availability changed unexpectedly, please discuss with your group leader and Pastor Ronnie. If there are still open groups, we could move you over. Otherwise, you will be asked to wait patiently for the next season.
The young adult groups on Friday nights will meet weekly. Other groups will meet at a frequency set by their leaders. In general, it will be somewhere between 2~4 times a month.
Unfortunately the answer is no. At this time, we only offer in person groups. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please continue to join us on Sunday morning for worship and community.
If you can attend more than half of the meeting this season, you are still welcome to join a group. Make sure to notify your group leaders about your situation.
Yes. In the first season of groups, as part of church wide mission month outreach, everyone from kids to adult will study the same themes.
In the future, there may be flexibility on the curriculum depending on the needs. Pastor Ronnie and the leadership team will evaluate at the end of the season.
We certainly encourage parents with children to join a group. Use the filter options to look for groups that offer either supervised childcare or unsupervised free play at the meeting location. You are encouraged to sign up for groups that welcome children. If the only option available to you is a group that cannot allow children, please make arrangements for childcare on your own.
We understand that it can be tough for parents with young children to engage with the church community in this season. Whether you are part of a life group or not, please join us on Sunday morning. The CPF Kids program offers wonderful Christian education for the kids and a supportive community for parents!
