Giving

Why Do Christians Give?

When the apostle Paul talked about how Christians should give generously, he said this:

“ In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”  (Acts 20:35).

And a saying in the Proverbs 3:9~10 also encouraged us to

Honor the Lord with your wealth,

   with the firstfruits of all your crops;

then your barns will be filled to overflowing,

   and your vats will brim over with new wine
